People who refuse to participate in a mandatory hurricane evacuation-- and then change their minds and call 911 for a rescue in the height of the storm!
Waste of money, times, lives.... I saw a picture of a guy in his bathing suit, standing in a beachside parkinglot that was getting hammered by 15foot waves. He's just hanging out. Wanted to reach through the computer and smack the guy.
Yep - and they are selfish because they risk the lives of others

ReplyDeleteDid he not see the video of the kite surfer during Gustav? Sheesh!
ReplyDeleteThere's a joke I heard a few years ago. Guy knows disaster is emminent. The fire department tries to evacuate him.
"No...God will save me!"
Later, a man in a rowboat offers assistance in leaving his home.
"No thanks; God will save me."
As he's standing on his roof to avoid the flood, a helicopter appears and drops a ladder.
"No thanks; God will save me!"
When he gets to Heaven, he asks God, "Why didn't you save me?"
"I sent you a fire truck, a rowboat, and a helicopter; you didn't pay attention!"
Some people just don't get it.
I just don't understand sometimes.
